If Republican opponents of the increase want to score points, perhaps they should propose a special $50-an-hour minimum wage for Speaker Pelosi’s home city of San Francisco. Speaker Pelosi would have to oppose such a special minimum wage, as it would cripple San Francisco’s economy.
